arms full of sound
Digital synthesizers are also wonderful devices. Following the pioneering of Analog Synthesizers, Digital synthesizers emerged from microchip technology. With these synthesizers, sounds could be created and stored for immediate recall. Generally, these devices were preset and their notes were not usually manipulated in a live setting.
Arms Full of Sound has several Digital synthesizers, all of which have various histories.
The Yamaha PSR-200 was the first synthesizer ever owned by Arms Full of Sound and was bought for and used in the days of the blues band, DoubleTyme.
The Optimus MD-1600 is a Radio Shack unit that was purchased as the first “big” synthesizer. Great big sound on that one!
The Roland E-10 has been a favorite and extends wayyyyy back to the early days of music making for Paul. This device is actually his father’s, but has a nice safe home in the cockpit of the Synthitone. It has many unique sounds that are flavorfully introduced into the music.
